The American Cancer Society is happy to announce that the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will take place on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Manhattanville College in Purchase. NYSUT is once again a Flagship Sponsor. We will happily return to the usual walking format with some modifications for the safety of all. Our retiree team is already registered and we are ready to join this year's Making Strides Movement.
Each year a large number of men and women are diagnosed with breast cancer. You may know some of them. These individuals may even be family members or friends of yours. We know the way to put an end to this horrible disease is through research. The American Cancer Society leads the way world wide in this effort and lives are saved thanks to this important funding. Each year we walk to raise the funds that will keep this research going because we know we can defeat breast cancer one day.
So now we invite you to join us in our efforts. We need your help to make this year's walk a true success. You can join us as a team member and work to raise funds with your family and friends or you can make a donation to our team. Either way you can find us at MakingStridesWalk.org.
